The main task: Original Brief

I have been contacted to create an exciting new music magazine and I have chosen to focus on the ‘Alternative’ genre of music. I have been asked to produce a front cover and contents page and for it also to feature a double page spread. Firstly, Questionnaires must be created and distributed and focus groups will be held, in order for me to gain a greater insight into the needs and desires of the target audience. My main objective is to create an Alternative music magazine that focuses on British female musicians. I want to break the convention that music magazines are precisely male orientated by creating a publication strictly for young girls, who are passionate about Alternative music.
